Raid Rules
If you wish to take part in raiding with Titan Soldiers then these rules must be followed at ALL times.
Raids will be advertised in The Guild Calendar a month in advance, sign up if you want to be considered.
Signing Up For Raids
We are finding that we are having a lot of our members signing up for raids which is fantastic, HOWEVER we are finding that a large percentage of these people are not turning up on time or just simply not turning up full stop.
The rank of Raider is not a rank that we give out easily and to that end we have now decided that for our members to maintain that rank then they will have to be committed in taking Titan’s forward as a guild. Therefore to maintain the Raider rank you must sign up and at least attend two guild raids per week without exception. If you feel that you cannot do this then be honest with yourself and your fellow guildies and come forward straight away this way we can know our true Raider numbers.
If you sign up for a Raid or an Instance and cannot make it then either post on the website or inform the Raid Leader of your situtation.
Failure to do the above will result in you being demoted back to a Social Member and you will have to apply on the website to be considered as a Trialist Raider and start the whole procedure again.
The Tentative option is NOT to be used at all!! If you are unsure whether you are able to attend a raid then decline and if you find that you can go then change to accept, this way the raid team is not sat around wondering whether a raider may or may not turn up.
Ventrilo
Ventrilo is a MUST.
You must have a working headset, we will tolerate a broken mic for a short period of time but you must make every effort to replace A.S.A.P.
Communication is a vital part of the raid, we will not have time to type up tactics whilst raiding.
It is also important that the only voices really heard during main battles should be the Raid Leader and the Raid Tactician.
Add-ons
The add-ons we use are:
Deadly Boss Mods
Omen
If you want to raid these are a must.
Be Prepared
Make sure all your gear is gemmed and enchanted correctly for your class and is the best you can be, you will not get into any raid group unless this is done.
Make sure you bring plenty of buffing reagents if you are priest, druid, paladin or mage.
Make sure you have all Flasks, Elixir’s, Potions, Stat food that you require(Cataclysm ofc). Relying on others is not acceptable. If you want anything from Guild Bank you must ask one of the Officers in plenty of time, not just before raid start time.
Guild Calendar will give you all information required. Invites will start going out 15 mins before stated start time. We expect people to be at the instance entrance 5 mins before the raid is due to start. Continued failure to do so will lead to a guild removal.
Breaks
Ninja AFK’s cost lives. If you have to go at some point during the raid then let the raid leader know this before the raid starts or 30 mins before you have to go. So he/she can decide whether to replace you or initiate a raid break for all. It is imperative that you inform the raid leader either before the raid starts. A 5 minute warning that you need to go walk the dog is not appreciated, nor acceptable. Constant warnings that we deem as too short notice could result in: a. Pro-longed trial period, b. Removal from guild.
Listen
Listen and follow orders, make sure if you don’t understand something that you tell them via a whisper, or over vent. Bosses require a co-ordinated effort, for instance if a healer doesn't heal tank then tank dies. If a tank dies it usually means we wipe. You not communicating could cost the raid maybe 30 minutes of trash if they have to clear again. The same could be said for not standing in the right spot or not attacking the correct mob. If you are unsure about something speak up to help avoid unnecessary wipes.
Criticism
Not easy for some but unfortunately it’s going to happen. There are going be times when you do something wrong, and you will hear “Unlucky mate, get it right next time”. Any criticism given will be constructive, it won’t be just to knock you down and leave you there. The criticism we give is given in order to chip things away to turn you into a better player. If you feel this was unjustified then let us know in private and we will be happy to take things onboard.
Know the Boss fights
Learn the boss fights, read up on them, search websites. Don’t expect to have each fight explained all the time to you, it takes up valuable time better spent on progress.
We will have our own strategies on how to take bosses down, we do not want to know how your old guild did it, we will do it the Titan Soldiers way. If you believe you have feedback that would be useful then send an in game mail to the Raid Leaders or have a chat on vent after the raid has finished.
Loot
The loot will be distributed by the Loot Master and it will be done by a few simple parameters.
The item will put up in raid warning and will be offered to main spec , any member needing the item should then roll and highest roll wins the item. If no-one needs for main spec it will then be offered to off-spec, same principle highest roll wins.
Priority of the loot will go to the Main Tanks/Healers of the raid team then obviously the DPS
Also, members will always have precedence over trialists which means that if a trialist goes for an item that a member is going for and wins, then its defaulted to the member with the next highest roll . Same goes for alts and mains, mains get preference over alts, the only exception will be is if you have signed up on your main, logged and ready to go but an officer asks you to go on an alt because we are short of a class for a run then that member will be entitled to roll for an item as if he/she is on their main, this also covers those who are dual specced, if you are asked to go using your off spec then before the raid starts you will be asked which spec you wish to roll for. Also to combat members switching mains all the time if you wish to switch your main character over then the alt you want to replace your main will have to be geared up to the same level as your main character before the switch takes place, this will stop peeps switching characters around just to get all their toons geared using the guild raids.
If you feel there was made an incorrect decision speak to the Raid Leader AFTER the raid. We encourage communication but during raids we will need to focus on other stuff. We know this will mean you lost the item in question but thats the way the cookie crumbles. We will NOT accept any drama about this though, so if you do send /w be sure to keep it to the point.
Pugging
As a guild we are not strict unlike some guilds with regards to pugging, but there are rules in place and I expect every member to respect and adhere to those rules.
The runs that are up in the guild calendar no member with triallist raider rank and above are allowed to pug including the continuation’s.
You of course can pug if you are not selected but only after all the scheduled runs for that particular raid have passed. This is non-negotiable.
The only exception will be if you know that you are not able to attend any of the raids on the days they are scheduled and approach an officer/guild master and ask if it is ok to go ahead and find a pug group.
If you disregard the rules laid out above then the same consequences apply as in signing up for raids.
